Weekly Photo Challenge – Solitary

Weekly Photo Challenge – Solitary

Apologies – I know this is late, but wanted to post it under the theme of Solitary, I will hopefully get up to speed with the challenges shortly!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Urban

This topic is really exciting for me, living in London, I am surrounded by “urban” every day and it can often become over-whelming. I am not a fan of concrete and have previously posted quite a few urban shots, so please visit my other posts to see them (Hong KongCity of London, Paddington and Maida Vale, and many more!)   However, I think one of the best way to celebrate “urban” life is to head down to Notting Hill Carnival on the August Bank Holiday, so that is exactly what I did.

This photo is my entry to the Urban competition – purely because, for me, it is one of my favourite perks of living in London and urban doesnt have to be grey concrete!!!!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Sun

Here is my addition for the weekly photo challenge.  I had a lot of “sun” photos to choose from but as I have been quite slack in posting photos from my trip to Bali I thought I would choose this photo which is from Nusa Lembongan, a Balinese island which is really truly beautiful and I understand it is one of the hidden jems of Bali which is still relatively untouched by tourism.

Anyway, this photo was taken in a small cove where the waves were huge and crashed in through blow holes and caves making some amazing haunting noises.

Enjoy :)

Weekly photo challenge – Through

I think I have probably already posted my best “through” photos, so I have included links to those posts so you don’t miss them.

Other “through” photos include these three, one at Ealing Broadway station…no prizes for guessing which, one at Walpole Park and the other in Hampton Court Palace gardens.

Not very innovative but my favourite “through” photos are from Paddington and my walk into work.

Knock Knock

A little while ago I set up the Photo Challenge page of my blog.  I have so far only had one request, and that was to take some photos of doors.

Now, on my walk to work I see numerous doors of all shapes and sizes, but there are no doors that I love more, than my own front door.  For this reason I am only posting photos of my front door.  I love the colour (thank you Natalie for pointing out that it is colour coded with my eyes ;-) ), the stained glass and the fact that when I see it, it means I am home.  It is just lovely and so immaculate.

I do have some other photos of doors on my way to work, but as they are on my new phone I have yet to work out how to get them onto my PC to edit them! When I finally work it out I will post those photos up too.

Coming soon: I am off to Hampton Court Gardens at the weekend to visit friends, so hopefully I will get some photos of the flowers starting to come out :) Fingers crossed for sunshine!!

Weekly photo challenge – Indulge

Indulging in...acting like children at the zoo in Chiang Mai in Thailand

This gallery contains 5 photos.

Usually for a weekly photo challenge, I try and find just one of my favourite photos.  But for this week, I had so many photos I could resist to share! Here are a small selection of the many photos I … Continue reading

Weekly photo challenge: Simple

When I went to Bali in October last year, one feature was the numerous offerings that the locals would leave outside their homes and businesses on a daily basis.  It was a touching sight as they took so much time and effort to care for their belongings and property.  Most of the offerings were placed in the footways and you have to go around watching your step so as not to tread on one.

I have chosen this photo for my weekly photo challenge photo as it is an indication of the simple things in life which mean the most, and how a little pride in the simple things makes all the difference.
