Weekly photo challenge – Through

I think I have probably already posted my best “through” photos, so I have included links to those posts so you don’t miss them.

Other “through” photos include these three, one at Ealing Broadway station…no prizes for guessing which, one at Walpole Park and the other in Hampton Court Palace gardens.

Not very innovative but my favourite “through” photos are from Paddington and my walk into work.

Apologies that it has been a while since my last post, things have been crazy with work and I haven’t managed to get out with my camera much over the last few weeks. These photos are from when my parents … Continue reading

Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to my mum, my sister (who is a mum and a mum to be) and all my friends and family who are mums, you are fantastic :)

To celebrate today my mum and dad came to visit and we went for a walk through Walpole Park to Ealing Broadway and were very fortunate with the weather.

After my parents left, I decided to get into the Easter spirit and made some Easter nests…which me and James have just enjoyed…thought I’d share a little photo with you :)

Big Egg Hunt

I went to  meet my friend Katie in Covent Garden on Monday and while I was waiting I took a couple of photos on my phone of one of the eggs on the big egg hunt that is currently taking place in London.

Nothing particularly special about these photos but thought they were a fun way to show one way that London is celebrating the Diamond Jubilee and Easter :)

Holy guacamole lots has happened.

We spent one day in Agra which was enough. When we arrived Amit picked up a man who claimed he would be our tour guide in the city then said he cost money. We were caught off guard and sort of let it be then we told him we wanted to go somewhere local for lunch but, surprise surprise, we ended up at some western restaurant with high prices that no doubt he got commission for.

I just couldn't resist re-blogging this post as it reminded me of my trip to Rajastan about 10 years ago which appears to havr followed a similar route! Although we sadly missed out on the Holi festival. India is such an incredible country and this post just reminds of what a crazy, wonderful place it is :-)

Knock Knock

A little while ago I set up the Photo Challenge page of my blog.  I have so far only had one request, and that was to take some photos of doors.

Now, on my walk to work I see numerous doors of all shapes and sizes, but there are no doors that I love more, than my own front door.  For this reason I am only posting photos of my front door.  I love the colour (thank you Natalie for pointing out that it is colour coded with my eyes ;-) ), the stained glass and the fact that when I see it, it means I am home.  It is just lovely and so immaculate.

I do have some other photos of doors on my way to work, but as they are on my new phone I have yet to work out how to get them onto my PC to edit them! When I finally work it out I will post those photos up too.

Coming soon: I am off to Hampton Court Gardens at the weekend to visit friends, so hopefully I will get some photos of the flowers starting to come out :) Fingers crossed for sunshine!!
