Christmas treats

Today was my last day in work before the Christmas break and I am so excited for a rest and to spend some time with my friends and family.

As a small treat for the team I work with I popped to the shops at lunch and bought us all a little treat, some gorgeously cute little M&S chocolate cupcakes.  They were a yummy little afternoon treat and I thought I would take the opportunity to get some photos of them.  This was my favourite.

I can’t wait to take some photos of Christmassy things over the next few days! If I don’t blog before the BIG day now, have a wonderful Christmas and thankyou for following or reading my blog :)

Christmas time 2010

This time last year, London was under about a foot of snow and it continued to fall thick and fast! It was such a great feeling to be getting all wrapped up to brave the snow when it was all Christmassy outside as well.  This year is the opposite, we are expecting spring like temperatures of 12C tomorrow?! Very bizarre! Hopefully it will at least be a little frosty for Christmas day though! Feels weird having a “warm” Christmas!

Here is a photo of James in the snow walking to Clapham South tube station last Christmas, it was so bitterly cold and the snow was falling so thick and fast! By the time we got to the station we looked like snowmen! :-) You can’t really see how thick the snow is here because the warm air from the tube station was melted it on this footway, but just across the road was Clapham Common where you couldn’t even see the footpaths/roads!

I am aware for many of you following my blog this will seem like a meer sprinkling of snowy dust! But in London, for snow to even settle a little causes utter chaos!!

It’s a dogs life!

As promised, here are a couple of photos of our gorgeous dog Tommy who sadly passed on a couple of years ago now.  He was such a fun lovely and attentive little dog, who never seemed to grow up.  He was the runt of the litter but as a result was just a softy who followed around Nelson (our older dog).  I am convinced to this day he died from a broken/lonely heart after Nelson died shortly before.

Here he is in the garden, he wasn’t the cleverest of dogs and used to like playing with hedgehogs…you can only imagine how that went! When I am home for Christmas I will have a search through my old photos for some of Nelson, he was gorgeous but sadly don’t have too many digital pics of him.

Hope everyone is getting excited about Christmas?! I am going to get some festive photos up soon! But for now, here is our wonderful dog Tommy :)
