My parents garden in Farnham Common is full of beautiful flowers and wildlife. After having my DSLR for 6 months, I took the opportunity to borrow my Dads telescopic lens and go out into the garden and see what I could come up with. My method was very much trial and error at this stage as I was not really up to speed with the functions of my camera!
Bees were all over the garden, particularly around the lavender bush, but this thistle caught my attention. After many attempts to get the moving bee in focus. I finally managed to get this shot. With some artful cropping, I have come up with this image.
Welcome to Jenny Mills Photography. This blog is to start to track my photography progress as I have started out with a classic film Canon EOS SLR and moved to the digital world with my Christmas present to myself of a Canon EOS 500D SLR last year. For those of you who don’t know me, I live and work in London and have always been known for taking far too many photos!
This blog is my attempt to develop my skills and share my photos with everyone out there – and to get some tips and pointers!
I hope to have things up and running soon but please be patient, I am having to short list photos from the thousands I have on my computer!
